Lara Trump has a new job at Fox News, and, not surprisingly, people on social media have thoughts.
President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, a former Republican National Committee co-chair, announced Wednesday that she will be hosting a weekend show on the conservative news channel starting Feb. 22.
A news release describes the show, “My View With Lara Trump,” as “the return of common sense to all corners of American life.”
Although Lara Trump has served as a Fox News contributor and was once a producer at “Inside Edition,” many posting on social media were concerned that a major news outlet is setting a bad precedent by having a president’s relative as host of a show.
For instance, social media commentator Brian Krassenstein noted that President Trump’s MAGA followers would have been outraged “if MSNBC were to pay Hunter Biden for a primetime show during Biden’s presidency.”
Others were also disturbed by the announcement.
