World champion Ellie Scotney will defend her IBF and WBO titles against Mea Motu on 26 October at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena.
The 26-year-old Londoner will face mandatory challenger Motu on the undercard of Jack Catterall’s light-welterweight fight against Regis Prograis.
Scotney won the IBF belt against Cherneka Johnson last year before dethroning Segolene Lefebvre at the Manchester Arena in April.
“That night was a dream come true for me and it seems like the city is becoming a second home,” the undefeated Scotney said.
The Catford fighter will be targeting WBA champion Nazarena Romero and WBC belt-holder Yamileth Mercado should she get past New Zealand’s Motu, who is also unbeaten in 19 outings.
“I’m ready to prove I’m the number one in the super-bantamweight division,” Scotney added.
The Matchroom show will be at boxing event at the newly-built 23,500-capacity venue.
On the undercard, British and Commonwealth super-featherweight Reece Bellotti will face Michael Gomez Jr and Campbell Hatton, son of former world champion Ricky, will seek revenge in a rematch against James Flint.
