Lauren Price’s bid to claim her first professional world title will be shown live and free-to-air on BBC Wales.

Olympic champion Price, 29, faces Jessica McCaskill, 39, for the WBA, IBO and Ring Magazine welterweight titles on 11 May at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena.

The fight will be simulcast on Sky Sports and further broadcast details for BBC Wales’ coverage will follow.

“It’s incredible to have the support and backing of BBC Wales and Sky Sports together,” Price said.

“When I boxed over in Tokyo for the Olympic Games, the pinnacle of my amateur career, it was covered by the BBC.

“Now, at the pinnacle of my professional career, they’ll be covering my world title fight too, which is brilliant.”
