Scotland beat the United Arab Emirates by nine runs to level their T20 series at 1-1 and force a decider on Thursday.
The Scots lost the toss in Dubai and batted first, reaching 121-8 as Matthew Cross top-scored with 35 from 38 balls.
Junaid Siddique dismissed four Scotland batters before Alishan Sharafu matched Cross’ 35 in UAE’s innings.
Jack Jarvis took three wickets as Scotland limited UAE to 112-9, the hosts having been in trouble early on at 36 for five after nine overs.
Scotland debutant James Dickinson took another of the wickets and told Cricket Scotland: “It’s a great win for the team, bouncing back after yesterday – we just wanted to go out and enjoy the game and take the series into the final game.
“It was amazing to make my debut, there were a few nerves, which I think is pretty normal, but I really enjoyed being out there and it’s a great group to be involved with.
“We’ve shown some good signs in these first two games, so hopefully now we can put a complete performance together, dominate the final game and take the series.”
