Ciara Mageean broke the women’s Parkrun world record in Belfast with a new mark of 15 minutes 13 seconds for 5km.
She broke the record just a day shy of the anniversary of Courtney-Bryant’s feat in Poole last year.
It caps an impressive year for Mageean, who represents Ireland internationally.
In August, she finished fourth place in a strong field in the women’s 1500m final at the World Championships in Budapest.
She twice broke the Irish 1500m record and also set a new Irish 800m record.
Mageean also knocked over two seconds off Sonia O’Sullivan’s 29-year Irish mile record in July.
