UN climate talks are on the verge of collapse as a group representing small island states walks out of a key meeting at COP29 in Azerbaijan. Nearly 200 countries are trying to reach a deal on money to help poorer countries tackle the effects of climate change. However on Friday, poorer countries dismissed an offer of $250bn (£199bn) per year by 2035 and had been pushing for a significant increase.
