Bored of your old black purse? We're right there with you. While black is obviously the classic hue and hard to avoid when it comes to accessories, this season, why not take a cue from Reese Witherspoon and swap your standard black purse for a burgundy style?

The rich, wine-colored shade is surprisingly versatile and feels so much fresher than old standbys like black and brown.

This fashion-forward bag has two expandable compartments inside, plus a slip pocket on the back to hold your phone or any other necessities you want close by.

$458 at Cuyana

The 48-year-old Oscar winner was spotted carrying Cuyana's Ola Bag in New York in late January and we haven't been able to stop thinking about the style since. The petite burgundy number is made with premium Italian leather and features an architectural gold top handle, as well as a crossbody strap. Witherspoon paired it with a red and black look that was giving us all the Valentine's Day vibes.

Witherspoon's Cuyana bag is at the top of our wishlist, but it will likely have to remain there for a bit, seeing as it retails for a steep $458. While this purse is a great investment piece, you don't have to splurge to add a burgundy bag to your rotation (unless you want to, to which we say, treat yourself!). Keep scrolling to shop five burgundy purses we're eyeing — all for less than $100.

Here's a great everyday option. Complete with a magnetic closure and adjustable strap, it has room for your phone, wallet, AirPods and more. Plus, we love the shape — it's like a fun, updated take on a regular baguette.

One happy shopper shared: "This bag is absolutely beautiful and feels designer without the cost. It goes with everything I own and feels very expensive... There are no zippers, which was worrisome for me. However, the fold-over magnet lock is very tight — you won’t be losing anything inside."

Woven bags were one of the biggest fashion trends last year and we don't see them going away anytime soon. This tote has a flat bottom so it can sit up, a magnetic closure and plenty of room for your essentials — but the best part is that it comes with a matching zippered pouch.

"I absolutely loooove this purse! I’m not a tote bag kind of girl and was nervous it was going to be too large, but it’s a perfect size! Loop is big enough to go around your shoulder. The bag is big, but small enough to reach the bottom without dumping it out to find keys," wrote a five-star fan.

This Kate Spade option is a real steal for under $60. This zippered, Saffino leather style is simple and classic. Inside, you'll find three credit card slots (so you can leave your wallet at home) and room to spare for your phone and current lip combo. We also love the elevated gold hardware.

"This is such a lovely little bag! It's perfect for nights out when all I want to take with me is my IDs, a credit card, some cash, lipstick, face powder and my phone," raved a pleased customer.

This tiny tote is made from the brand's perfectly broken-in, soft-grain leather. You can carry it by the handles on top or use the removable strap to turn it into a crossbody. It also has collapsible sides that you can close inside the purse with the dog clip to give the bag more shape when it's not completely full.

One shopper exclaimed: "I saw this bag online and when I saw it came in Merlot, I knew I had to have it. This color is exactly as pictured and all the reviews are accurate — it fits a phone, lipstick [and] coin purse.
