Whether she's showing off her latest kitchen gadget, sharing a favorite beauty item or making her followers laugh while wearing a fabulous outfit, Bethenny Frankel seems to have an infinite list of product recommendations. Recently, the former star of Real Housewives of New York shared a hilarious video on TikTok about a natural deodorant that she loves. Once we found it at Amazon, we were pleasantly surprised to see that it was not only affordable, but on sale. Wild Natural Refillable Deodorant typically retails for $20, but you can snag it now for $17.
This refillable deodorant lets you cut down on your plastic waste and smell fresh — it's a win-win.
Why is it a good deal? 💰
This deodorant didn't drop below $18 in the last 10 months, so while a 15% discount may not seem like a lot, this is still a deal. I mean, who doesn't like to keep a few extra bucks in their pockets? And you only need to buy a complete kit one time to get the deodorant applicator base. After that, you'll just need to buy the refills that retail for about $8 each.
Why do I need this? 🤔
In her TikTok, Frankel calls Wild "a natural deodorant that I can get behind" and goes on to say, "I love this. ... This is cute, and you can keep refilling, which means it's good for the environment, and it's also natural." She does mention that she accidentally tasted the deodorant ("It didn't taste that bad") after incorrectly trying to fill the applicator and having to remove some deodorant. While this is a natural formula, we're gonna go out on a limb and say you shouldn't give it a taste test.
All of Wild's deodorants boast 24-hour odor protection and are vegan, cruelty-free and made without any artificial fragrances. Additionally, this natural odor-fighter doesn't include aluminum, parabens or sulfates, so if your underarms are easily irritated by harsh chemicals, Wild may be a good option for you.
Wild is on a mission to reduce waste, so once you've run out of your deodorant, don't throw away the applicator base. Just pop out the empty refill and put in a new one. Despite Frankel's initial confusion, refilling the base is easy and only takes a few seconds. Plus, each of Wild's plastic-free refills lasts for about four to six weeks, so you won't have to do it too often.
What reviewers say 💬
Frankel isn't the only one going wild over this deodorant, which has collected nearly 600 five-star reviews on Amazon.
Pros 👍
One five-star reviewer exclaimed that this natural deodorant "actually works" and added: "I was super surprised how well this works. I've tried a lot of natural ingredient deodorants before but none of them have worked this well. I think I have found my forever deodorant."
"Recently, my regular gel deodorant would sometimes irritate my armpits. I checked out a few alternates and saw that Wild was generally well-recommended. Well, I've been using it for five months now and I'm very happy," raved another shopper. "No irritation since I started using it, and the scent is very fresh and pleasant (Cotton and Sea Salt). My wife has noticed the scent as well, and says it's nicer than my old deodorant."
A third fan shared: "Couldn't wait to get this product, and it didn't disappoint! Smells great and works as promised. I thought it would leave white stains on my clothes but, surprisingly, it does not."
Cons 👎
Some users said the applicator's design could use some adjustments to be more user-friendly.
"My issue is that you cannot use the last inch or half-inch of the deodorant because it doesn't twist up enough for you do do that. ... I don't want to be wasteful, so I'm taking it out and using it then putting it back in. I refuse to not use all of it," explained one customer.
Another shared: "I love the smell. But there were no directions on how to get it to roll up. I had to go online and read how to use it. I tried every way there was to try and get the deodorant to roll up, but could not do it. Then I went on Amazon and found the directions."
The refillable base is made from aluminum and recycled plastic, but you won't find any aluminum in the deodorant itself. It's also free of parabens, sulfates and artificial fragrances.
